Surround its streams
Interwoven swords of pain
That surreptitiously last
Unfinished business
Keeps these souls attached
Broken dreams
Evil spells of hatred cast
Disintegrated hopes
Crash down these slippery slopes
Trapped in these demolished thoughts
Perceived as steel cages
Through the harshest of ages
Where discrimination
And degradation
Lead to alarming deaths
Including those that naively trusted
Claims of love
But only lusted
To destroy and deploy
An untimely end

Yes this trapped soul
Revisits in its wedding gown
Chained to the hope beyond hope
That her lovers
False words sown
Fantasy to make one whole
Killed in one fall swoop
As the dismembered body
Buried under this hovels grounds
She revisits pain screeching
Hallow screaming sounds
Of demolished nightmare
Watching this ghostly shape
Haunt & stare
On the anniversary
Of their wedding dates
She cries and waits
This soul displaced
