Eerie in the quiet of the night
Peripherally my eyes caught her light
The veil lifted just enough
Appeared to be floating
Her vision flickered on + off
Awaiting my reaction to her levitation
Tightening in my stomach
At first I thought it was a trick
Of my imagination
Telepathically she sent me a message
I am a friend
Or so I thought I heard
Transparent I could see through her vision
She was testing me to see if I would be accepting
Sensing sadness from this mystery illusion
Trying to decipher the confusion
As quickly as she appeared
She disappeared
Leaving me with a plethora of questions
Hoping for her return
Always enjoyed a puzzle
Open to any confessions
Hoping the next time
I'm more open to our connections
