My heart beats faster than
The fluttering of a hummingbirds wings
Listening to the sweet sounds
Of how your voice calls my name

I never tire of how your eyes smile
Searching and connecting to mine
Every time the tingling travels
Up and down my spine

Unravelling segments of excitement
Your enraptured embrace
Knowing in your arms
I’m safe
