Thunderstorms have descended
Dark arcus cloud run across the expanse of the sky
Thunder and lightning crackling
Shards of light electrifying
Screams of terror way up high
Rumbling noises vomited throughout the city
Intermittent rain
Monsoon like for half an hour
Led to minutes in our neighbourhood
Without any power
I’ve always found the sweet pitter patter sounds
Of gentle rain becomes my lullaby
Serenely welcoming Morpheus to take me underground
April showers bring May flowers
July storms knock down trees
Powerful gusts of winds
Thrusting rain drops sideways
Natures whim
Today few snippets of sun
Vast differences amongst
The rain showers three
