Fluttering across the midnight sky
Nocturnal animals surviving
Similar lifestyles immutably
Vicissitudes of life
Reminding me of revolving doors
Trials of yesterday
Reappear as varied visages
Different friends
Yet everyone is all the same
Simply replaced
Alternating positions of importance
Copacetic for a short while
Imprecise when what appeared as nice is simply ghastly
Stagnation bounds us to conformity
Life long visions of stability
Living in doubt
Regarding 2.2 children
Effectively reduced to one
And the white picket fence
Is now a condominium
Oh, and then there was you!
