Walls and walls of books
Plethora of titles
Hundreds of genres
Knowledge pouring in each novel I took
Intriguing the imagination
Particularly colourful for all the littles
Children wide eyed in suspense
Cleverly written deviation
Keep them sitting on the edge
Adult themes interwoven
In what appears
As a child's dream
Excitement lingers in their body
With nuances only elders glean
Intoxication of liberal minds
Creating fantasies
Euphoric finds

It's a numbing ache
Deep in the recesses of my soul
Choking back words
Where now are broken fragments
Where once was whole
Dry sobs
Raw screams erupting
Catatonic slobs
Finding ways to continue
Disrupting
Fake appearances of semblance
Prim and proper
Distant resemblance
To highly society
Smiling, sweet sayings
Careful of any type of impropriety
Standing here stoically
As though nothing is wrong
Partially because
I really don't belong

Love the feeling of the wind
Making the sheer fabric
Of my dress
Swirl around my legs
Sun shining warmly
Gentle breeze
Causing the sea
Creating billowing waves
Moments like these
My heart feels bliss
My soul is joyful
Connecting to natures beauty
Enjoying all of the kisses
Mother Earth bestows
Upon me
Pulls me out of my overthinking
Heavy feeling
Worrisome thoughts
Making me realize
I'm alive
Here to fulfill my purpose
Resurrecting my fallen life path
Where standing apart from the crowd
For me
It's allowed

Overthinking has always lead to words
Insurmountable feelings
Certainly bitter ends not honey
Discovery concludes
Thoughts are reeling
Watch for those who call
You sweetie
Claim to love you
Protective is my nature
Ever since I can recall
Several classification
Superfluous nomenclature
Neither can ease the discomfort
Not the pain
Nebulous & hazy
Last fortnight my need to discern
Actions appear to others as lazy
But I'm wrought with disdain
Trusting & believing words
Interwoven web of lies
Took me a long time
Too long to realize
Mixed times to ascertain
I stood transfixed
With what my eyes
Allowed to slip by
Precious moments
Screech and cries
Pain crawling inside
Which I despise
Stupid equation to note
How others created deception
Have started to gloat
Since they have been behind it
Right from the inception
There is no honour
Just lie
Lie after lie
Trust I built so high
Slowly numbing me
Breaking me
Fatigue set it
Crawling up
Wanting to die

Quiet moments alone are comforting
Need to silence the chatter
Making more time away
Distancing
Myself from people who create drama
Put all of us under duress
Im not hiding
I can be confrontational
Like the rest
Just don't want to hurt
Ones I love
Or cause them stress
They say when you meet crazy
Don't welcome it
Walk across the street
Dance to your own song
A different beat
Keeping apart from all who misconstrue
Make words hazy
Accusing through judgemental eyes
Bullying
Is why I realize
Best that I find myself
Pulling
Away

Quiet times
Alone
Can be safe
Chosen proximity
Away from distress
Enjoying happily
Away from the mess
