CAMELOT FANTASIES

Walking through the city streets
The ominous black sky
**** lightening across the afternoon respite
Torrential rain bouncing off the city sidewalks
Making contact with my upper thighs
Holding onto the umbrella is futile
The gust of the wind this summers day
Is causing the rain to land sideways
This torrent play lasted 15 minutes today
It was as though God gave us a snort
From his nostrils reminding us
The egoists, who believe we are in control
Drenched clothes as were trodging through
The pavement cratered ponds
I can hear God laughing
Minutes later the darkness disappears
The glorious sun set beautifully
On a blue hued sky reappears
The rain is now, but a mist
Sprinkling pleasantly yet gently
Scurried to put away the umbrella
Tilting my head to face the sun
Loving the feel of the rain spraying me
Kissing my face
Ever so gently
My soul grateful for the reprise of the humidity
Smiling as I continue to walk
Along the city sidewalk
Making certain I have my bearings
Taking my time to enjoy the beauty
That God displayed
On this summers mid day
Im certain his gentle laughter
At his glorious display
Reminding me to say
Thank you and
Love you
