Captured the fear that strains your eyes
Each time I share
In return I receive a frightful stare
Your voice usually a strong timber
A shaking Tremble makes its appearance
Prideful and strut worthy lays its claim
A part of you me thinks it’s given away
Alas the love shared is held on by a thread
Fraying away weakening its hold
Another day goes by
And you’ll be with thoughts of old
Where nothing else matters
When the broken glass shatters
There is not enough gold
To decorate and aggrandize it together
