Another one bites the dust
Enforcing feelings meant to elicit affections
In ways that felt unfiltered yet
There seemed to be a must
Attached to words of love
Confusing the roles we play
Not a friend, not a lover, not the love of your life but a mother
Child’s mother who beckons all the souls to heal
When pained detections
Creep around your wind pipe and anxiety wraps it’s tendrils squeezing hard
Halting breathe and elevating fears to a point of extinction
Taking your own life in the face of celebration
Your many altering faces came to a screaming halt
Your demons stared at you through the mirror
What held you a part and together
Was staring you in the helpless dark
And all you could think of was how to disappear
And so you chose your fate
Through the worst fear
Took your life
Leave the fans out of it
Your daughters have already succumbed and called their demons to the fore
And now they must stare it/ them down yet again
Without you beside them
Your sweet lilting voice is forever recorded with songs
That doesn’t fill the grieving hearts
Aching for the often times
Forever plagued
Why?
