Sorry to get back to you on this so late but sometimes I completely forget about where I'd said what unless it's right in front of me.
It is what it is as I said. I just don't believe in a set of rules set out by people and all religions are all about that because they are all more or less based on the followers' encounters, which can very well run the risk of being quite different than the actual events. And they do according to many scholars. That does not however negate my trust in Jesus or Mohammad or Buddha or Moses etc., but most importantly, God. I do think that the concept of God is lost to many; in other words, we really don't have the true concept of God, especially when we still have the tendency to attach a human figure and mind to it, but that's a matter of a separate discussion, like Who or What is God? etc.
For now, I am just going to leave at that because I believe everyone is on their own journey and not matter what path we take, we will eventually arrive to the same place contrary to different religious belief systems.
But the things I have outlined in my previous post, come to think of it, they are all quite neutral - be it sex, drugs, weapons, alcohol, materialism etc. It's us who go and manipulate and abuse things. So clearly the main problem is within us.
