LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The NeNe Leakes mom debate ignited the RHOA 7 Reunion. But even before that telecast aired, LALATE exclusively reported that Leakes has been bickering with sister Kendle Kenya Sherman about their family history since RHOA season five. Now since the RHOA 7 reunion, Kendle Kenya Sherman has fired back again.
The NeNe Leakes Kendle Kenya Sherman disputes are not new. In fact, during NeNe’s spinoff, some of Gregg’s children claimed NeNe’s assertions about their family were false as well. In the RHOA5 Reunion, Kendle Kenya Sherman was the subject of a dispute. During that taping, NeNe called Kendle her “half sister”. After NeNe’s season five comments, Sherman told news “Honey, that is my sister … We don’t say half. We say sister. We share the same mom and we share the same dad. Listen, when people say what they have to say about our family, it’s okay. NeNe knows and I know. We’re sisters. Maybe now that she’s Hollywood, I’m considered a half-sister.”
Now during the RHOA 7 Reunion, NeNe told news “My mother didn’t raise me. My father never claimed me.” Without being specific, Kendele said that same of NeNe’s comments were false. Later she added “All I can say is really”. Then she commented “Dr Jeff she turn her back on her mom so these others don’t mean s— OK!!”
At the reunion, Gregg remarked “Her mom had five children when she was very young. And she couldn’t take care of five kids. And she sent NeNe and her brother to Athens to be raised by her aunt. And she raised the other three kids. She has always wondered why she had to be one of the ones sent away. It’s bugged her all of her life. So that’s what that is.” It’s simply unclear from Sherman vague tweets which part of Nene’s RHOA 7 comments she disputes. But she is clearly not happy with NeNe’s version of events.
