Looks like Real Housewives of Atlanta star Demetria McKinney, Hollywood veteran Vivica A. Fox and Essence Atkins of A Haunted House fame will join the Olivia Popes, Cookie Lyons, and Mary Jane Pauls in the network of leading ladies of color.
McKinney, who was noticeably absent during the Housewives reunion taping, let the cat out the bag yesterday (Apr. 2) via Instagram of a new sitcom pilot she filmed with Fox and Atkins. Details of the pilot has been on the hush, but we’re looking forward to more girl power dominating the silver screen.

I can’t say too much now, but I just shot a great sitcom pilot with these beautiful actresses, @essencesays and @msvivicafox. #workingactress #100 #TradeItAll

Hahahaha. I always loved children but old people creeped me out until I was a certain age.  Weird because I adored my grandparents.
 This old lady in church use to complain to my mom that I wouldn't hug her and my mom would come looking for me and  make me hug her! and girl, I would cry like my mom was giving me away. Hahahaha.

I grew out of that though. Certain older women did intrigue me if they were sassy or funny.

Girl, you even straightened this out for me. Now that I think about it, I think I presented my mother's words out of context, what she meant was I wasn't always hanging out with my own peer group exclusively. As a teenager I liked hanging out with children because they make me laugh. My son gets so irritated with me because he says I laugh too much. It's just funny hearing their insights, remembering how you felt the same way, and knowing that there's so many layers to everything that you can't even explain it to them sufficiently. I also liked people who were older than my own peer group, because I was interested in people who had experienced things that were facing me in the near future. When I say my friend was "old" she was in her mid twenties and when you're 13 or 14 years old, twenty-four sounds ancient.

My bad. You are right, like you, older people creeped me out too. especially when you're very wrong. My first job while I was in high school was at a nursing home and I had to go into the patients' room and fill their water jugs and clean their sinks. Oh gosh, I hated that job. One day I was cleaning this lady's sink, not paying attention as I was talking to her and I touched her false teeth! They were wet, but were not in any water! I almost died. After that I wouldn't go back in her room I was so freaked out. I would've been fired except that my upstairs neighbor took over my duties unbeknownst to my employer, while I found an out of the way spot and slept the rest of my summer employment away. The mind of a child. No wonder you can't get through to them. They are just not equipped.


I don't know why things are so funny in church.  I think it's because you know you are not supposed to laugh as it seems irreverent.  Lol

Girl, once my baby sister and I visited a church with one of my older sisters and her then husband who thought he was a preacher (#catchthatshade) and the church had like 3 members. Ha!

My sister and I went because my bro in law begged us to come and support. We had never been to that church and didn't know they didn't have any members but we had seen and knew the pastor of that church  (my bro-in- laws friend) was F.I.N.E. foine so we relented.
 We were in our early twenties.   

My sister and I are already chuckling before service starts- my brother in law had made us sit on the front row because hardly no one was there.  We knew he wasn't a good preacher.

Everything was funny for no reason. From the way he stepped around the pulpit,  to the way he was expecting a response from 3 people.  We snickered and fidgeted a lot trying to keep it all down.
My brother in law was so mad at us.

We managed, though.  Until it was time for communion.  When they took the top off of the bread tray- now, I'm used to wafers or crackers but girl, this was like a whole loaf of bread- I think it had sesame seeds on it - my sister and I lost it.

I was bent all the way over in the front row pretending to be going through my purse - we were both sneezing, and snorting- tears -little bit of howling - trying to stifle the laughter- in full view. You  could hear a pin drop in that church it was so empty and here we were on the front row- right in front of the pulpit.  It was awful.

 The more we tried to stop the worse it got.  That whole scene with the first flash of that loaf of bread  and them lifting the top off just kept replaying in my head -  we were so weak. 

To make matters worse, because of  the desperate, reckless, fumbling around looking for nothing, trying to fake something that would give me a reason to be doubled over,  all the change I had fell out of my purse and some of the coins rolled up to the communion plate like they were going up to take communion-
That was just too much.  Even now.

I laughed. I cried. I choked and almost died. This is the funniest chit I have ever read that happened in a church. I don't know how you all managed to stay that long. I couldn't have. I would've been doubled over in laughter, crying, snotting, and crawling out of that church. The front row? Oh H naw. The bread? Um uh. The coins falling out? I would have crawled out of the church on my hands and knees. This cannot be topped. Ever. I seriously almost died laughing at this story. This gets filed in books. I must steal it. You cannot make this kind of stuff up.

After we got ourselves together, We were so embarrassed and really felt bad - we wouldn't even take the communion.  I'm not sure he would have let us have it.

Needless to say he didn't ask us again.  He shouldn't have put us on the front row, though. 

Girl, we still laugh about that- good thing the three people that came were already saved. LOLOLOL.

I will definitely start reading Ecclesiastes.

Sorry- should have read this first before I asked all those questions about the Porsha tweet/article.  Hahahahahaha.

By the way, I was trying to tie in Porsha's tweet with the article you posted about the RS  ratings,   NOT Kenya's blog.  I understood the blog was only FYI  purposes.

I hope something got mixed up here but, Porsha  would be a fool to lie - she would get outed sooner or later.

Yes, she definitely looks like a tranny. Straight dude in the face. I crack up when people call her Arsenio hall.

It's amazing isn't it? She's looking so hard in the face. That lifestyle is showing on her.  And yes, she looks nasty even in clothes. I don't know why she's always dressed so skanky, it makes her look too big.

 I don't get the Lalate article since;
1.  They really didn't explain anything- like the panning back and forth.
2.  They didn't say they were quoting Kenya so, how do they know whether or not James was in Vegas.  Unless I missed Kenya's or her friends quote.  And if they asked James, what incentive would he have to say yes?
3.  Forget the certificate, don't you have to apply for a marriage license?  Can't you  find out if they at least applied? 
4.  What difference does it make that the registry listed the address, time and date?  You don't need a notary present to prove you are being truthful about that- you just show up and give them whatever info you would like them to have. Means nothing.
5.  "They announced their engagement in April  before the wedding".   When did they do that?  April 31st?  And, so?  That means nothing either.

Odd right?  What do you think?
LaLate is normally very supportive of Kenya, too.   I don't understand their angle  here.  Did it sound a little shady to you? 

I've already apologized below for not putting any thought towards this article. You are correct as usual. But, it didn't sound shady to me. It sounds like they are protecting her from what could have been a disaster. You see how it silenced everybody? I think they took the lead in that, and other blogs followed suit.

Not saying the marriage is not legit but, imo their article wasn't really informative.
We could have written a better article with the info we had if all they wanted was clicks. Hahahaha.
I usually like them.
 
You know, LaLate was where I first read that Kenya's show was going to happen.
Kenya had made the statement after that, that she could have a spinoff  but she chose to do her sitcom.  So I knew it was supposed to happen on Bravo but, never knew it actually made it on the schedule/roster.
It makes sense now, your explanation that Janet Hubert threw a wrench in it.

That heifer. I hope it gets picked up and she is REPLACED. She could've made a comeback. Dumb wench.

Why didn't Andy or Kenya explain instead of letting people believe/ spread innuendo that her work wasn't good enough to get picked up. That's the part I am still baffled about.

I don't know, maybe there were legal ramifications that we're not aware of. Because it was listed on Bravo's site, but I guess they couldn't say anything about Janet during a legal proceeding. That's the only thing I can think of.

I heard match gets some of their attractive members to do "success" commercials. That might be what they are trying to get.  Lol.

Crazy about that sitcom though!  Good catch. Maybe that's why Vivica turned down the HW's.

Maybe Viv will stop now. She received a lot of backlash, a lot. I'll bet she wasn't expecting that. Kenya is doing a great job of cleaning up all the erroneous information out there about her. Yep, Andy should be embarrassed. That backfired big time.

Your breakdown of the article was intense. Good stuff. I didn't even think about breaking it down to the nth degree. I was showing it to you because it was doing damage control for Kenya. Remember, there was a time that all of the blogs were against her before the tide began to slowly change. Evidently, Lalate is pretty respected amongst the blogs and that might be why other bloggers have toned their venom down. Even M isn't as scathing as she used to be. Influenced?


Oh, and I'll never present "evidence" to you without coming up with common sense solutions for why I am presenting.
