Ex 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star NeNe Leakes is taking a cue from her arch nemesis, talk show host Wendy Williams
The agent of the 47-year-old RHOA reality star has been putting out queries to some top African American female comics about 'writing material for her comedy debut', according to an email viewed by Daily Mail Online.

'NeNe is looking for a ghost writer to help craft a comedy act so that she can have at least an hour of material to perform on stage,' an insider revealed. 'There's a lot of money in performing stand-up, which is why Wendy Williams has ventured into it.'

The reality star's fans were left devastated last week over the news that she won't be returning for the new season of Real Housewives Of Atlanta.

But NeNe Leakes isn't staying off TV screens for long, as the star announced that she has a new project in the works starring alongside veteran comedienne Betty White, 93.

The actress revealed on her blog: 'When one door closes, another door opens!!!! Your girl is returning to prime time network TV on the new ABC variety series To Tell the Truth with Betty White and Anthony Anderson.'

But that isn't the half of it for NeNe, who has seen how successful Williams has been on the comedy circuit.

Wendy announced on her daytime talk show last summer that she would be making her stand-up comedy debut to fulfill a 'bucket list thing' she's wanted to do her entire life.

Sources close the situation claim the talk show host's 'bucket list' venture was really a 'pocket book deal' that her manager/husband Kevin Hunter wanted her to do when The Venetian Hotel asked her to perform as part of their all-female comedy series called Lipshtick.

'Vegas pays big bucks to comics and Kevin wasn't turning that money down for nothing,' the source explained. 'So Wendy hired a comedy coach and began pulling together a show.'

Williams hired comedienne and Borat star Luenell to help craft her act, and since making her debut onstage last November has gone on to perform at least three other shows across the country. 'The money has been so good that Wendy is doing a 12-city comedy tour during her talk show hiatus in August,' the source said.

Daily Mail Online reported in May that former friends NeNe and Wendy had an altercation when both were booked at an event called The Ultimate Women's Expo at Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

Their friendship came to an abrupt halt in July 2013 during a Hot Topics segment on Williams' talk show where she discussed how Leakes had been receiving backlash online for a Twitter message criticizing the amount of new reality shows.

Yep. & the panic is starting to set in. Smdh.  She's calling the rest of these girls thirsty?

And you're right- no one's buying enough peekaboo shoulders to pay that house note.

How embarrassing that no one wants the job of writing for or training her?
No one who is serious in this business wants to be associated with a loser.
That would damage their credibility.
Moreover,  No one respects that Nene wants to walk into every profession scott free without earning it.

What professional who has sacrificed, worked at, honed and perfected his craft wants to write an hours worth of comedy for a lazy, braggart wannabe, who just wants to walk on stage and take what he has worked and struggled for years to get?  Who would do that?

She is really reaching now. She might be begging Bravo before filming starts this season at this rate.

You got that right. You know her and her minions were high-fiving each other thinking that they got it done. I know Nene is fit to be tied. Talked and walked herself right out of a good paying and easy gig due to her out of control ego. I love it. Let’s hope they get the best ever ratings with Nene’s behind gone.

And you're right- no one's buying enough peekaboo tops to pay that house note. Her glib answer at the reunion is coming true, “This rich bish is poor.” Excellent.

Nene will be scrambling to pay that house note now. Those temporary gigs are not going to cut it. None of the jobs she had were enough to make a dent in her bills. She played herself; but good!

Thank goodness for those bad edits and leaked articles. Carlos is a genius. While she was smarting off and acting a fool he was showing the industry and everyone else how difficult she was to work with as a person. The fact that no one is willing to work with her says it all. The writing is on the wall. Nene is going down; with a thud. It’s only fitting for someone as horrible as she is.

That reminds me of Tyler Perry. Remember when Nene called him and his number was changed? Later he tweeted encouragement to Kenya. Those two incidences show you what Tyler Perry thinks about Nene and it’s all on tape. Kenya is one smart cookie. She’s always ten steps ahead of the competition. Woohoo!

Of course; I would never work with her for any amount of money and soon she’ll see that many others won’t either. You can’t even guarantee that she’ll be decent to her co-workers. What kind of craziness is that?

Exactly, that’s been her M.O. the entire time.

I can’t see it. She’s crazy if she thinks anyone in their right mind is rooting for her success, not with the horrible way that she behaves, moreover, who’s going to risk their reputation dealing with her? You see how Ryan Murphy dissed her and not one job that she’s gotten did the powers to be invite her back. Finally, her reputation has preceded her.

I wouldn’t be surprised and I’ll bet you a fat man that she won’t be squabbling about money. She’ll take whatever they give her at this point. I just hope that they don’t take her back. She doesn’t deserve to be one TV, or in the public eye.

Awesome; It was hard to believe that she was permanently gone, especially considering how she and Kenya were talking.
