NeNe Leakes is about to take the music industry by storm!

The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star announced on Twitter she’s taking her talents in a new direction and getting behind the mic.

“Vocal lessons this morning in LA for my next project with 1 of the best in the bizz #ericvetro,” she captioned a photo of herself singing while her vocal coach played piano.
While NeNe is keeping the details of her musical endeavors relatively hush-hush for now, if her past projects are any indication, she’s going to slay at singing, too.
It’s clear the tail end of her time on RHOA emboldened NeNe to branch out beyond the small screen in ways fans couldn’t have anticipated, from her Broadway debut opposite Keke Palmer as the wicked stepmother in Cinderella to her upcoming performance on the Spike TV hit Lip Sync Battle.

If NeNe does intend to pursue her musical aspirations, she certainly won’t be the first member of the RHOA cast to do so — in addition to Kandi Burruss and Demetria McKinney’s thriving music careers, her former cohorts Kenya Moore and Kim Zolciak have both earned cult success with the dulcet tones of their heavily autotuned dance tracks, "Gone With the Wind Fabulous" and "Tardy For the Party."
