I was confused, when you are something, you don't have to "prove" it, and I always thought Phaedra was trying too hard, which always made me wonder why. If you're a fashionista you don't go around constantly letting know that you're a fashionista, you are and everyone around you recognizes that. But Phaedra put too much emphasis on being a "southern belle" and a "Christian" which led me to believe that she was neither.

People can be so stupid. Why on earth would they not look at Phaedra when they have Angela writing a book on the her crimes? I can't with people who believe only what they think see and hear without questioning. I was talking to a friend yesterday and I was interested in what she thought about RHOA. Girl, she had bought all the surface BS and then when I started breaking it down, she was like, "yeah" and "that's true." I felt like hanging up on her azz. It never occurred to you to question what you were viewing? And then there's the obligatory, "it's just entertainment." No, it's not, it's life, people, and motives behind everything a person says or does, and if you don't look beyond the words for the meaning, then you're swallowing whatever they're peddling That's aggravating as h#ll to me. I had to quit discussing it with that fool. That means I can tell you anything and you'll go for it. Sheesh!

I agree with everything you stated. AS is very credible and her story NEVER changes.  Not even a little bit.
One could easily rationalize why AS made her mistakes.  I have not read her book yet- (I will)  but know that  She was **** @ 5 yrs old.  So, she was obviously not protected as a child. She was on the streets early. I think she had kids by the time she met Phaedra @ 19 years old.
Unlike Phaedra who supposedly grew up in a God fearing home with Parents who loved her, was afforded a good education, career and every opportunity to make a great, upstanding life for herself.

....And notice how AS sounds more intelligent than Phaedra who has a JD?!  Did AS even graduate HS?

I love one of the  reasons she gave for speaking out again after Apollos arrest. She had been silent for some time  because of her case. She says:

"I want to share my story with young people who find themselves drawn to crime and false glamour. I want to caution young people that the wealthy, glamorous lifestyle they see on their television screens is not all it appears to be. It is often built on a lie, and it is often built on the backs of victims and exploited people."

I knew her story but hadn't paid much attention. W hen Apollo got arrested and especially after THAT statement -  She had me. I knew AS was the real deal.

I agree with you @ these ignorant people.  It irritates me as well.
AS released the book in 2012.  Apollo was arrested in 2014.
In her book, She  made claims of same staged crimes using the same type accomplice - a vunerable woman -St Julien-  who this time ratted him out- she wrote it 2 YEARS  before AN was arrested.

Like you, I knew something wasn't right about Phaedra.  Never liked her.  I always felt she was a fraud as far as Christianity and being a lady -always knew she was grimy, (Kandi too)- based on her exploits on the show.  Never felt she was intelligent.
  The only thing that used to throw me- and I mentioned it on the RT board was how she could remain so calm and restrained when Nene was slamming her- especially during the reunion since she didn't come off as the type to be intimidated on the show. 
Then after Nene's head Dr comment all of the dirt started to pour out on her and I understood that what I mistook for poise was really her shutting her mouth to keep Nene from exposing her and those awful, salacious, illegal stories and skeletons as well as live bodies from falling out. She was still doing that chit.
Other than that snafu I never felt good about her. Needless to say, I never doubted my instincts about her from that moment forward.

Do you know when the trial starts?  I can't wait.

Yep, Kandi definitely knew about the ****. Good eye at remembering that scene at the table. Porsha was definitely upset that Kandi didn’t get up immediately. She was afraid that Kandi might reveal something, no matter how small to the group.

Kandi did change her position. I had forgotten about that little switcheroo.

I hope Kenya and Claudia get away too. I think it will happen. I think both will move on to bigger and better things, because their hearts are in the place.

Exactly. Remember Apollo's restitution was 14 million before they knocked it down to 1.9 mil.
Apollo didn't spend 14 mil in the strip club or on that house. They have something left for sure.

Apollo warned Phaedra and gave orders about his wishes more than once before he went to prison.
I remember distinctly in one scene where he told Phaedra:

I'm NOT coming home to no car, I'm NOT coming home to live in an apartment! I'm coming back to my home!  He went on to name other things.
Then in that last scene before prison he was telling her not to remove his things from their home. What person do you know going anywhere  for 8 years much less prison who is able to call shots like that?
Apollo definitely laid down the law before he left for prison and that was on camera. I can only imagine what he said off camera.

I agree that she is pretending to be working - she is living on Apollos money and at the rate she's  going she can go through that money before he gets out.
I'm sure he won't be liking her traipsing all over Europe with 8 women leaving the kids as usual.
Especially,  being locked up with no freedom himself.
& You don't do Paris and Italy on a budget that's for sure.

You're right. If this was a "clean" situation Apollo wouldn't be calling any shots. If anything, he would be guilt ridden for bringing shame to their marriage. But his words sounds more like a partnership that two crooks enter into rather than a marital union. Just like crooks who say, "You'd better have my share."

Speaking of what he said on TV, he also said, "I built this house and everything in it." Remember that? I thought he was talking about the ill gotten gain then. Remember, when we first met Phaedra she had a nice house, but it was much smaller. So in a way she's correct. She doesn't have to worry about money, but it isn't from her "jobs."

This leads me to believe that the good "pastor" is well aware of this tainted money. That's why she became so vocal on Season 7. How come this is the only season she's seen fit to be such an integral part of Phaedra's storyline? And of course, the good mother is traipsing across Europe with her dastardly daughter.

Yes, I was talking about Porsha's mother. I forgot or didn't know that Nene had a friend named Diane. In the future I will refer to Porsha's mom as Pizza Diane, because she's POS too.

Kenya's getting a lot of great reviews on LTO. There are many people who agree with us. I've been tracking her views on the pilot because so many people were vowing not to watch it, but the views keep sneaking upwards, LOL.

It’s pretty obvious that’s what holds them together is the money. It’s why he can treat her the way he wants to, as well. This is like that old song, “When the Hunter Gets Captured by the Game.” You ever heard that? But now, it gets tricky, because Phaedra is a greedy old soul and as the Feds are breathing down her neck, I can see her wanting to get as much pleasure as she can out of the money. She’s not going to save it all for Apollo, and get nothing, not a chance! I think this is why she’s taking that trip, to get rid of some of the money. I remember reading an article way back when they went to Anguilla. One writer thought that was a way of stashing the money. I’ll have to see if I have that article, because I wasn’t paying Phaedra too much attention in the beginning.

But remember, for all of her “smarts” Phaedra is also not so smart. Even AS said that and I knew exactly what she meant. In fact, I don’t think Phaedra is smart at all, but lowdown people often appear to be smart based on the intricacies of their lies. They’re shrewd, but not smart, IMO. At the end of the day (he he) Phaedra thinks that her ability to con others is her greatest asset. While she may fear that Apollo might write a book, she also may roll the dice that she can beat him at his game. I wouldn’t put it past her.

And yes, Moms has the money.

Yep, when he talked about that house, neither one of them denied it, just acted like, “um hm.” That’s because they know he bought it and they know with what. And although it didn’t all come together immediately, I just thought Moms reaction was suspect. It just seemed too convenient that she only appeared in a speaking part on RHOA that late in the game. And everything was geared towards her daughter being a victim. Didn’t buy it, but now in lieu of all of this new information, I am certain that Moms is benefiting financially.

No, Moms passed on all of those opportunities to speak directly to Apollo. She didn’t want that loose cannon to expose her dirty behind. That’s what struck me too, Bobbi. No Black  Mother would put up with a man talking disrespectfully to their daughter in front of them, no way, no how. And like you said, they won’t get in your business, and they’ll let you make your own mistakes, but none of that disrespect had better ever be in their presence.

That reminds me of when my older sister got divorced and she came back home. One night her ex-husband came to the house and tried to fuss with her. She told him to leave, and within minutes, all of us had come out of our rooms. My mother’s room was on the first floor and I was shocked at how quickly she had gotten there. He barely got a word out and my mother was at the door. She pushed my sister aside and grabbed him before he knew it. You should had seen him hightailing it out of there. I was on the stairs, my help not needed. I got so weak laughing at my mother. Um uh, mothers do not play that. Nobody hits their children. It’s not happening. That might be what struck me, although I hadn’t analyzed it at the time. But I do remember thinking, there’s no way my mother would let a man talk to me that way. I can’t even see it. That’s when I knew something was up with “Pastor Regina.” Outside of a mother’s need to protect her child, she didn’t even think to call her father? That’s not right. And I got a bad feeling on that alone.

I don’t remember that part, her going upstairs and leaving her mother. That doesn’t make sense. I would never leave him alone  with my mother if I thought he was a psychopath. No, none of it fits, which is why any intelligent can’t help but question what they’re seeing. You’re right. None of the pieces fit.

They sure are the psychopaths. Speaking of gremlins someone on the board said that Phaedra looked like a Bratz doll. I hollered. But, anyway, yes, they are the psychopaths for sure.  Phaedra has as much ability to love as a dang rock. That child is heartless.

Please, Mr. Chocolate is real. When his name came up it struck a chord. I didn’t remember when I’d heard it, but the name wasn’t new to me, so I believed it when he said it and Apollo was visibly upset. No doubt his anger sprang from him and her setting up this operation and Mr. Chocolate being the recipient of all the goods, while he was locked up. That anger and hurt was genuine. 

Apollo wasn't crazy. He was angry though and with good reason. And the vernacular gave it away. That’s exactly how Phaedra talks. I knew it wasn’t about infidelity, because rumor has it that he and Phaedra trolled the strip clubs in Atlanta looking for partners all the time. They’re good for having private parties. Plus, the condom incident showed that she slept around and he didn’t seem bothered by that, he just wanted her to use condoms. Now, how would he know that she wasn’t using them? So, he had to know that she had multiple sex partners and that wasn’t a problem, because so did he.

Ha ha ha . I just said that above he knew he was in line to become AS II.

Yep, that marriage was a business arrangement and Phaedra had  those kids for two reasons, 1. Her biological clock, and Moms had aborted the previous ones, this was her last ditch effort to bear children, and 2. Because she wanted light-skinned children with “good hair.”

After that scene. Apollo didn’t play according to script. He became very disrespectful after that. First, he outs her as sleeping around and then he shows that he doesn’t a care about her in all the scenes afterwards.

I’m sure I read that she had a brother and it struck me as odd, because he’s never mentioned. If I recall correctly, her mother made a comment about her children, and I’m pretty sure she said the name David. I tried to check it out, but Phaedra’s bios on the web are very sketchy. I don’t know if I’ve even seen one that lists her mother and father. Very odd. I just realized, why is her mother’s name Bell and not Parks? There is too much deception with these two.

Is it really her dad? I can’t find any bio information on him either and her mother’s last name is Bell. Wow @ sorcery. That explains a lot. I have no memory of the dad at all.   

That’s crazy about the wealthy Africans and their show of wealth. . I believed it just because I wanted to, LOL! But seriously, no one has names if it’s a lie. Another great catch about the package going to Kordell. I missed that too, and that verifies that Moms had no address. Wow!

I didn’t catch all the shade. It didn’t really occur to me that she would be so blatant. I didn’t hear the guy talking about the prenup, and while I heard the THOT comment, it wasn’t until the poster mentioned the sugar daddies that I put two and two together. You are so good. Da*n! I missed that too about the supposed affair. Girl, you got all the tea. She is very smart. Ridiculously, so.

People sometimes  think I’m silly based on the fact that I love to laugh so much, but it comes from a place of downplaying myself. If I went hard people would be too intimidated, so I tend to act like I don’t take myself seriously. Remember I’ve had a lifetime of people and friends being envious. To act like I’m all that would just be putting another dagger in my back. I can see that in Kenya. Imagine if she took total ownership of all her gifts? They really wouldn’t be able to handle her.

No, I didn’t know about the commercial. I wonder who was behind that? But that’s kenya for you, always thinking. She would have had to show it to fill in ad time from a real sitcom, but it was very well put together.

Bravo did let her sitcom be a part of her storyline don’t you think? Looking for offices, meeting with Roger Bobb and using her pilot for the finale? Bravo was going to show her sitcom after the reunion but Janet messed it up with the filing against her. It was even listed on bravo’s website for months. But, with the court case pending, it couldn’t be aired. You know Kenya, she put it on Youtube as a pilot. Always thinking, that girl.

.You catch everything, SMDH. I’m not sure, but after reading your remark, I do get the impression that it’s one major outlet. She’s even getting positive reviews on many other outlets, other than RT. The tides are changing.
