Nishikori played a fine match and deserved at least a set, but Rafa was too tough in the clutch and Kei not tough enough when he really needed it in a point here or there. Nadal played too far back again at times. I think Kei was successful on the drop shot at least 7 out of 8 or 9 chances and hit many angled winners. But Rafa did enough to win and is through to play Grigor Dimitrov in the QF.
Federer dismantled a fair-good Tsonga in the evening match in a masterclass performance - check the net stats. He'll meet Andrew Murray, OBE, in the QF.
