he was just out of it last night.


I think he will produce better form in his next match.


its tennis. its a brutal sport. its very hard to be in near top form for every single match. I am not really worried about his 3 hours and 17 minutes on the court.

there were a few medical timeouts and stuff. he needs to be out there for another 3+ hours in his next match also.

he was not winning majority of the rallies out there last night. that has to change.

its a damn shame I am not one of his coaches.


in order to break your opponent's spirit and his will, you have to engage him in battle. you have to engage him in the rallies and win majority of them.

that is how you destroy your opponent both physically and mentally.


I am not happy with his pushing so many balls back. that is what kept his backhand from clicking. he has to try to hit the ball.

all that pushing and shoving really doesn't achieve much except for throwing off your rhythm when you have to hit the ball.

so why not just hit from get go. you slice but only when you have to and when you are out of position.

and you slice when you have little or no time.


today most players eat sliced backhands for breakfast.


anyway I am convinced that he will play better in his next match. if he returns well and hits his backhand well, he will be very difficult to deal with.

he can use some depth in his shots but that comes from hitting the ball.

start hitting the ball right from get go and try find your rhythm.
