I didn't think Spartan Stan could win in the 5th set.  But I'm happy to have been proven wrong.
He looked at times on the verge of collapse while Djokovic was rising again, but pulled it together, served well from 6-6 and Nole made a couple of questionable volleys that cost him at the very end.  But he is human too.

Well done Mr. Wawrinka!  Gallant try by Mr. Novak Djokovic and condolences to his many fans.

I was afraid that Spartan Stan was going to develop cramps. he kept on stretching out there in the latter stages of the match.



well he finally took that next step that we were talking about general masterclass.


this has to be one of his biggest wins ever if not the biggest win. we knew had enormous talent and amazing power off the ground.

he still missed a lot of backhands but some of that had to do with nole's unbelievable court coverage.


nole engulfs the whole court in a mere second with his movement.

stan had to go for more because of that.



now the big question is this: can he make his first slam final?
