I have this crazy hunch that nadal is going to capture 3 slams in 2014 if he snatches the Australian open.

the other 2 will be RG and the U.S. Open.

so the key for him is the Australian open. he has to try to grab that one and set the dinner table just right for the rest of 2014.


now if he fails there, it is not the end of the world for him. he will be just that much more determined for RG and the U.S. Open. in other words, he will just have sharpen his focus that much more.

that is exactly what he did at the u.s. open. he was all business and 100% focus at flushing meadows partly because he did so poorly at Wimbledon.
