all he lacks is height.

Nothing to do with height, herc. Rod Laver, Ken Rosewal, Jimmy Connors etc. were all about the same height as Ferrer and yet they were multiple Slam winners. Connors in fact played in one of the toughest eras of men's tennis and yet that didn't stop him from winning a few Slams. So it's not the height but the genuine talent and the mentality that Ferrer lacks. He would have still been with as many titles as he has right now even if he was 6'2". He's a player who has maximized his abilities by working really, really hard and by staying consistent as nothing came naturally to him. Just like there are talented actors and there are actors who needed to polish their acting. Ferrer falls in the latter group. He's a hard earned tennis player. He's good but definitively not great with or without the height.
