How will this split affect Andy in the long run?

Great for him, he needs someone else now. Lendl wasn't helping.
Good for him, he needs to think things out himself for awhile.
Doesn't matter.  Lendl has done all he needed to do.
Doesn't matter.  Andy has done all he needed to do.
Maybe a temporary setback, but he'll move on eventually.
Bad for him.  Bad timing. No good can come of this.
Disaster.  Lendl was Murray's mental warrior.  Without him Murray will never win another major.
Who knows?  Am I a fortune teller?

From the quotes I've seen, it seemed like it was Lendl who wanted to dedicate himself to playing on the seniors tour.

Curious how in the article it's mentioned he planned to enjoy his time off the leash but there's no actual quote that I see.

Now, it does seem to me Andy's a very independent person, he went to live alone to Spain when he was what, 15?, so who knows how well he can get along with someone who's too dominating (not that I know if Lendl was).

I doubt the split is good for him.  I was shocked to hear about it for sure.
